Apple is planning more vision-based products, including AirPods with cameras, after recently launching the Apple Vision Pro, the company's first major new product category since the Apple Watch in 2015. The base model will cost $3,499.
Apple faces competition from Meta , which has become a pioneer in producing devices equipped with artificial intelligence, including Meta Ray-Bans, which have attracted attention with the features and characteristics they are equipped with, as they carry smart upgrades supported by AI, to enable users to perform many tasks such as speaking other languages and speaking out loud to ask questions.
Apple is looking to build a similar product to compete with Meta, and it may launch AirPods with cameras as well. Back in July, it was reported that the headphones might be infrared cameras similar to those used in the iPhone for Face ID, rather than taking photos.
The move is a way to recoup some of the billions of dollars spent developing its Vision Pro smart glasses . Meta, on the other hand, has not revealed how well its smart glasses perform since they launched last year.
