WhatsApp is constantly working on improving the user experience. It has introduced Meta AI to its chat interface, making it very easy for users to use the chatbot. Users can easily scan queries, generate images, find out interesting recipes, and many more things, with just a single text prompt. WhatsApp has also sought to introduce the Meta AI voice mode feature. Just like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, WhatsApp is said to be working on improving the still underdeveloped voice chat mode.
A screenshot shared by WABetaInfo shows that WhatsApp will soon allow users to choose a voice for Meta AI. The favorite messaging app is exploring the implementation of different voice options for Meta AI. While the release is yet to be confirmed, we believe it will come with just the voice mode feature. It has been reported that the voices will vary in pitch and tone.
Meta AI will offer a range of voice options to suit individual preferences, including three distinct UK voices and two American voices, varying in pitch and tone, according to the report. This allows users to choose a voice that resonates with their regional accent, personal taste, or preferred tone, allowing for a more personalized and personalized interaction with the chatbot.
Furthermore, there are expected to be four more voices from famous public figures, although the exact names have yet to be revealed. By offering a range of voices, users can choose the voice that best suits their preferences, whether it’s a voice with an accent they can relate to, a tone that motivates them, or a voice that reminds them of a prominent figure, making their interactions with Meta AI more engaging and meaningful. For example, if you prefer a British accent over an American one, you can choose the UK voice.
Adding public figure voices to Meta AI could enhance user engagement, as familiar and inspiring voices can make interactions more fun and engaging, allowing users to connect with voices they like or find motivating. But will it include languages other than English? Currently, the feature is still under development, so it is unlikely that the first version of the feature will include any other languages. However, as it develops, there is a high chance that WhatsApp will include more languages that will cater to a global audience.
