Adobe has announced a new student discount on Acrobat AI Assistant , the artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot for the Acrobat platform, which was first offered in April to all users, but now the company is offering it to students at an affordable price.
The chatbot can process any compatible document and answer queries based on it. It can also summarize documents to provide a brief overview of the topic. The chatbot is available on mobile and desktop apps as well as a web version.

Adobe announced in a blog post that students can purchase the AI Assistant plug-in for Acrobat for $1.99 per month. The general subscription costs $4.99 per month. When announcing the new pricing, the company said the affordable subscription will help students access AI to easily find information from course readings, essays, lecture notes, research papers, and supplemental materials.
Acrobat's AI assistant can also do a variety of tasks, including:
1. Summarizes documents into charts, making it easy to navigate through important indicators and saving valuable time.
2. Presents information in simpler language and can provide key points.
3. Provides clickable attributes for its responses that take to the source paragraph and sentence in the document, so students can easily check information and avoid any AI hallucinations.
4. Ingests information across all three sources to generate comprehensive insights.
The AI assistant is also capable of processing multiple files of different types, so a student can upload a PDF, a Word document, and a PowerPoint presentation, and Acrobat’s file conversation feature eliminates the need to convert different file formats one by one.
Additionally, the company said that a new two-way voice interaction feature is in development that will allow students to verbally communicate with the AI assistant, so students can use Acrobat to study on the go.
