Experts recommend parents teach children to use AI at age six. Ed Broussard, managing director at Tomoro AI, which works to navigate companies in an AI-powered market, came forward to share the skills the younger generation will need to live in a world quickly taken over by AI.
According to the British newspaper "Daily Mail", a number of technology experts agreed that parents should allow their children to use chatbots such as ChatGPT to create fun games and personalized stories based on their ideas and to find answers to some of the questions they often ask.
The artificial intelligence expert shared other skills that children will need, such as the ability to think and focus on jobs that do not currently exist.
“I often joke with clients that the best person to hire at their company is someone who has just cheated on university exams using AI,” Broussard said. “He has already learned how to use AI to get good results.”
He added: "Employers of the future will need native AI users. Using AI to work faster, better and smarter is normal, but you can't expect your children to adopt AI unless you model positive AI behaviors yourself."
He recommends children start using AI while they are in primary school, saying the education system also needs to shift towards teaching technology.
One of the key skills in tomorrow's world is the "outsourcing" of thinking to artificial intelligence, and the World Economic Forum estimates that about 65% of children entering primary school today will end up working in jobs that do not currently exist.
