A new update to Tinder makes it easier to share date details with family and friends

Tinder has unveiled a feature that helps users share their excitement about a date with their loved ones and acts as a security tool. The Share My Date feature allows users to share details about a planned date through a single link.

The URL can indicate details including location, date and time of meeting as well as a photo of your match and a link to their profile. The page can include some notes as well and you can edit your date plans so that those who share this link with them can get the latest information. .

Dates can also be scheduled in the app up to 30 days in advance, and for those lucky people who have a bunch of matches to make IRL plans with, you can create an unlimited number of dates and share them with your loved ones.

Tinder says that about 51% of users under the age of 30 already share date details with their friends, while 19% of users do so with their mothers, and it is always a good idea to tell someone where and when you are going on a date and details about the person you are meeting. Just to be safe, Share My Date can simplify the process a bit. Back in 2020, Match.com debuted a date check-in feature that allows users to send details about their date to emergency contacts if things aren't going well.

Tinder Share My Date will roll out in the coming months and will be available in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Singapore, India, Ireland, Germany, France, Spain, Japan, Brazil, Switzerland, Mexico, Netherlands, Italy, Korea, Vietnam and Thailand.
